• IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM THE CITY OF FOREST LAKE: regarding placing chairs and tarps on the parade route before the 4th of July. Any apparatus placed on the parade route before Sunrise on July 4th, will be confiscated by the FL Police Department or Public Works Department and be disposed of after 10 days if not claimed.

• The Lakeside Memorial Park Task-Force is holding an unveiling ceremony of the restored historical plaque at 4:00 p.m. on the Fourth of July at Lakeside Memorial Park. The Task-Force consists of persons from: VFW Post 4210, American Legion 225, Forest Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, City of Forest Lake, Mattson Funeral Home, Forest Lake Times and Peach, Tyler Memorials by Braham Monument Company, and Representative Bob Dettmer. The names on the Memorial plaque are Fallen Heroes of WWI - Vietnam War from the Forest Lake Area.  The plaque was dedicated by the Forest Lake Area Chamber of Commerce in 1977. We are trying to contact the families of those who are listed on the plaque to invite them to the unveiling ceremony. • 2009’s Forest Lake Home & Business Show-IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE HOME & BUSINESS SHOW!!!   This brand-new event is set to be the BIGGEST and the BEST Home & Business Show the Forest Lake Area Chamber of Commerce has ever done! The new name of the event is the  “Spring and Swing Home Opener” and will take place at the brand new FLAAA Sports Complex on Saturday, March 21, 2009. What we need is a few people to join in on planning this fun-filled event. We have a lot of space to utilize in the new Sports Complex and we need your ideas to fill it.  If you are interested in sitting on the Spring and Swing Home Opener Task-Force, please email colleen@flacc.org right away!
