“The Rush Line Corridor:  Overview and Update”

Mike Rogers, Project Manager

Ramsey County Regional Railroad Authority

The Rush Line Corridor is a transportation corridor extending 80 miles from Hinckley to Union Depot in downtown St Paul.  A joint local and regional study and planning effort, coordinated by the Rush Line Task Force and Ramsey County Regional Railroad Authority, is underway to explore transit alternatives supporting mobility, economic development, community preservation, and environmental protection.

Population along the Rush Line Corridor, which includes Forest Lake, Wyoming, and Hugo, is expected to increase by 43% by 2030.  Growth in population along the corridor, coupled with new transit options, is expected to allow communities and businesses along it to evaluate growth and economic development opportunities, including transit-oriented development.

Project Manager Mike Rogers, from the Ramsey County Regional Railroad Authority, will provide an overview of the project, and update on current status, and answer questions.

Members:  $20/Non-Members:  $30 (includes full hot breakfast)
